Reminder, New Fee
Increases
At the January Board of Directors Meeting, the
Budget and Finance Committee presented the FY2011
Budget. The budget has been reviewed by both AHA
staff and the Budget and Finance Committee members.
Although fee increases are never popular with those
incurring the additional cost, the increases were
necessary to help AHA better cope with today's
economy. Some of these fees had not been increased
in over five years. Please view the summary of all
fees and their history by clicking
here.
We encourage you to enroll or renew in the various
programs prior to April 1 to receive the lower rate.
Qualification Points and Placings
In addition to earning points, you can now qualify
for Regional shows by obtaining a first or second
place at an AHA Recognized local A, B or C rated
show.
Remember, when qualifying for an Amateur (AT) or
Amateur Owner (AO) class, you cannot use points
and/or a first or second place obtained by a
professional. AT and AO qualification points and
placings may be used toward an Open class.
There have been changes for 2010 in the number of
qualification points required for Junior Horse
classes (all disciplines) and the Country English
pleasure classes for Arabians and
Half-Arabians/Anglo-Arabians. All these
classes will
require two points to qualify for the Regional
level.
