BREEDERS SWEEPSTAKES INFORMATION
|
Sweepstakes Points Payback Prize Money is available at every AHA recognized event.* Do you have a horse enrolled as an Original
Entry, Breeding Entry, Gelding Entry or Yearling Entry? Then your horse is eligible to receive Sweepstakes prize money in Sweepstakes
designated classes through the Points Payback Program. Simply enroll your horse before the first date of competition for $100 to start
accumulating points to be paid back at the end of the competition year.

How points will be paid out.
|
AHA recognized Shows and Events will receive 55% of the total collected funds will be paid. Total points earned each year in designated
Sweepstakes Classes and rides will be divided into the 55% to determine dollar value per point. AHA will issue a check to the recorded
owner of the horse (as of December 31 of the competition year) based on show and ride results for that year.

Not enrolled in the Point Payback Program?
|
This is an optional program when all Sweepstakes requirements are met. Sweepstakes Nominated Horses must be enrolled in the Points
Program in order to be eligible for prize money payout. Enrollments must be made on-line or postmark/electronic transaction dated to the
AHA office before the first day of the show. Show secretaries may not
accept Sweepstakes Point Program Enrollments.

ENROLL IN THE POINT PAYBACK PROGRAM TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR PRIZE MONEY

1. Allocated and Points Payback Prize Money is available at each 2007 Regional Championship Horse Show.
2. When all Sweepstakes requirements are met, horses are automatically eligible to receive Allocated Prize Money in designated
Regional and National Sweepstakes Classes.
3. Enrollment in Sweepstakes does not qualify a horse for Regional or National competition. Horses, except those in Yearling classes,
must qualify for the class in accordance with the rules in the current AHA Handbook, the U.S. Equestrian Rule Book or the Rules of
Equine Canada.
4. Entries in the Yearling Sweepstakes halter classes must have been nominated as Breeding Entries. Entries are not eligible to
compete in the Yearling Sweepstakes Halter classes (except at the local level).
5. Regional Arabian and Half-Arabian/Anglo-Arabian yearlings that have won a 1st place in a Sweepstakes Class in one Regional Show
cannot compete in the same class in any other Regional Show.
6. Only horses enrolled as Original Entries, Breeding Entries, Gelding Entries or Yearling Entries are eligible to receive Sweepstakes
prize money in designated Sweepstakes classes.
7. Payouts for 2007 will be divided into the following percentages: |

is divided as follows: |
b. Regional Shows = 25%

Percentages by breed are as follows:
a. Arabians = 65%
b. Half-Arabian/Anglo-Arabians = 35%
The Allocated Prize Money at National and Regional Shows will be Paid as follows:
a. Champion = 30%
b. Reserve Champion = 20%
c. Top Ten = 50% to be divided by 8 places
d. Top Five = 50% to be divided by 3 places |
8. Prize Money at the National, Regional, Local Shows and designated events will be paid only to the party whose name appears on a
horse's Certificate of Registration on December 31 of the year the prize money is earned. Checks for prize money shall be mailed
after December 31 of each year, not later than 60 days of receipt of complete results for that year.
9. Sweepstakes Point Program is optional. Sweepstakes Nominated horses must enroll in the Sweepstakes Point Program to be
eligible for prize money payout for accumulated points in Sweepstakes designated classes at National, Regional and Local Shows
and events. Enrollments must be made on-line or postmarked/electronic transaction dated to the AHA office before the first day of
the show. Event secretaries may not accept Sweepstakes Point Program Enrollments.
